One of the most anticipated books of the year among Internet circles is Hank Green’s “An Absolutely Remarkable Thing” set for release on September 25th, 2018. Hank Green has been a popular “internetainer” since a video of him singing about Harry Potter launched him to YouTube fame back in 2007. Since the Vlogbrothers project, Hank has continued making YouTube videos with his brother John, founded VidCon and PodCon (and a number of other Cons). He has toured with his band “Hank Green and the Perfect Strangers”, started the DFTBA music and merchandise labels. Hank has helped to create a number of party games and is the genius who invented 2-D glasses. You might also recognize Hank as the host of SciShow and Crash Course, educational YouTube channels that essential saved my high school career. Have I missed anything? Yes, lots. But in the realm of book writing, Hank is best known as simply “John Green’s younger brother”. All indications show that authorial adeptness runs in the family, as An Absolutely Remarkable Thing has received some absolutely remarkable early attention. The book received a starred review from Kirkus, currently has a 4.0 rating on Goodreads and is already a best seller on Amazon.

The book, a mix of comedy, science fiction and mystery, deals with modern ideas surrounding fame, celebrity, and media. Themes certainly within Hank’s area of understanding and expertise. Personally, I will be rushing to my nearest bookstore September 25th. Congrats Hank. DFTBA.
